(At this time, lessons are not available for the piano or the guitar)
The student's family needs to provide:
- an instrument (a rental can be arranged)
- the proper lesson book: Accent on Achievement Book I (purchase can be arranged)
a place in their home for the student to practice (4 times a week) with a music stand
Lessons occur weekly, run for one period (43 minutes) in a small group setting (ideally around 8 kids) and follow a rotating schedule, so lessons will take place at all different times of the day throughout the school year. Students are "pulled out" of the class room to attend lessons, so it is their responsibility to make up any work missed as a result.
All students are expected to leave their classroom 5 minutes early to allow them time to set up and "be ready" when the lesson is scheduled to start. Students are expected to bring the following to all lessons and after school rehearsals:
- their instrument
- their lesson book (and folder if they've gotten one)
- a pencil
